Just thought we should lighten things up a little around here, I was trying to tell a couple of jokes to my Hong Kong colleague, and these came up.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Joke #1:
[reading screen]
"To Start Press Any Key" . Where's the ANY key?
I see Esk ["ESC" ], Catarl ["CTRL" ], and Pig-Up ["PGUP" ]. There doesn't seem to be any ANY key.
Woo! All this computer hacking is making me thirsty. I think I'll order a TAB. [presses TAB key]
-Homer Simpsons
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Haha this was taken from The Simpsons Season 7 Episode 7: King-Size Homer. Although I have never sat down and watch the cartoon series, but I love their random wackiness.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Joke #2
A teacher went to school and saw the word penis written on the blackboard. Angrily, before any other students come in, she erase the word using a duster
However, tomorrow when she enter the same class, the word PENIS is there again. This time it is written in a bigger size font than yesterday. Again angrily she used a duster to erase the word.
The next day, she came into the class and the word PENIS is there again, written in a much bigger size than yesterday.
It came with a one-liner written below, "THE MORE YOU RUB THE BIGGER IT GETS".
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
*chuckles*
Don't you think most jokes are somewhat adult? Funny nonetheless!

zeeavi radio
Zee Avi is always in my #nowplaying list, especially when I'm in the office. I love her and I still do! When I'm home, I usually pop her CD in the player but when I'm at work, I listen to her through Myspace. I know right? That's the only time I access Myspace and I don't even have an account on there :P I love their radio feature where they play you random songs from the same artist that you specify.
Back to work now ciao!

Teevee
Last night i was talking to a dear friend of mine, and she commented that this blog is dusty. Huff puff and off you go, dust!
Today i hissed at my man because he gave me a lame excuse that he is tired, therefore he can't make the trip to the cafe nearby to pack me food. Of course, he is terrible apologetic at his insensitivity when i pointed out that I was tired and I did his laundry ANYWAY. What's with men and chores? Bah.
Negativity aside (I promised not to blog about anything upsetting because, well, personally i hate to be reading emotional statuses/blog entries because EVERYONE has a bad day of their own, you know?), I had some time to myself this weekend and watched a lot of TV. So i would like to recommend a couple of mindless tv shows that you should watch.
1) Jersey Shore - if you're into bimbos, dramas and lots of sex, this reality show is perfect. There are so many senseless fights and senseless sex (pun intended) that i find this show funny, and mindless.
NOTE: I like to use 'mindless' as an adjective here because after working your brain to pulp for 5 days in a row..mindless sounds so fitting :D
2) Running Man - a really funny and exciting variety game show. It's made by the Koreans. 'nough said.
3) Bones - US Crime TV gets better and better. Watch Bones if you are into crime solving - detective kinda show. It's in the seventh season now and I get such a kick out of watching skeletal corpses and grimes.
4) Who's Still Standing? - US TV game show that throw trivia questions at one contestant. That one contestant has go through trivia battle with 10 strangers for 1 freaking million dollar and that gets me shouting the answers on the edge of my sofa!I'm watching it right now, and it's taking me forever to finish writing this.
5) Undercover Boss - the only show you get CEOs to go undercover as a new employee and spy on his company. Each episode varies from one company to another, so it's a hit-or-miss kinda show but so far I've enjoyed the episodes on Hooters and Chiquita (A large distributor of bananas and other fuits in US).
As you can tell, im a sucker for reality TV and i have a hard time removing myself from the sofa once i have the remote control in my hand. I'm sure there's more to add to the list, so let me know by commenting. Now let me finish my show and i'll talk to you later.
CIAO!

Lost & (hopefully) found
*EDITED*
--
So my sandals broke while I was walking to office today. It's my third or fourth pair of shoes that has been eaten up alive by the streets of Singapore. Which brings me to Amara building today, and on impulse (and to a certain extend, I really needed a new pair of shoes), I bought heels from Charles and Keith.
And I left it on the bus on the way home. FML.
I have called up SBS and SMRT, sent them a couple of feedback forms, even left them a voicemail asking them to call me back but heck, they will only respond on the next business day. That's two days from now :( Do you think there's any glimpse of hope that some honest kind person will find that little bag containing brand new shoes and return them to me?
I sure hope they will call me back.
Lesson learnt : Do not carry shopping items while gulping down Happy Hour drinks. Especially if it's a Friday! Arghhhh!
--
FOUND!! *jumps around the room*
SMRT team, you guys are an honest bunch. Two different people called me by Monday noon to notify me that they found my lost heels on the night rider. Not only they responded on the first business day, they even offer to send my heels back to the nearest bus interchange of my choice! (Sadly I could imagine if I were to lost it in Malaysia, this entire scenario will never happen :( Sad but true).
Of course the impatient self couldn't wait, so I traveled all the way to their bus depot in Yio Chu Kang and I met Theresa, my saviour of the week, really. Had to sign an acknowledgment form and voila! SMRT saved my day. Couldn't thank SMRT enough. #forevergrateful

Balance baby.
Things have been going pretty heavy at work lately, it's causing my skin to pop. So I'm looking forward to weekends even more so now. Anything to get away from work really.
So I've been taking yoga classes lately, and today was my first intermediate class. I think during today's class, I might have discover muscles that I did not know of their existence before this. My body's going to complain tomorrow and I'm so not looking forward to that ugh. I am seriously considering signing up massage packages so that I can have a spa getaway at least one a month. My bank account however disagree. He (yeap, it's a he! dominatrix account ;( ) said all I need is to rest at home, sleep a little more and stop complaining. Well I agree with the sleeping part but you know what, maybe I just need a weekend back to KL or something. I need to search for my friend, Balance.
Balance. Easier said than done.
Perhaps all I need is a rougher exercise regime. Like tennis, which require aiming and running around with a bouncy ball. Or, perhaps, club hopping. What? Who said that isn't a form of sport? Bollocks.
My high school friends retreated to Bali, not because they were at war, but because they were searching for Balance while playing with the monkeys in Ubud. Totally sounds like a good idea. I would have been there myself if it's not for my endless work that does not allow any days off for now. But you know what, I'm making it a point to join the next getaway with them. Come what may. I'm going. Even though it's probably not going to happen until next year. But I don't care. Mark my word, readers.
Okay enough with Balance, Bed is calling. Ciao.

Bunny hop hop hop!
So here's a happy story! I came home today and my best of besties told me she hope I'm feeling better. For a moment in my head, I went "Why I feel great! What does she mean?! That I'm lonely and upset all the time? That I sit here, do nothin but blog about my unhapp.. o wait. Right. That day."
I was upset. For a whole damn day! So just in case, new readers decides to pop by my room (ah eleh, like I have a lot of followers. Moreover new readers lol) and they thought I am one of the emokids out there who slit wrists and cry while listening to some sappy song. Well, I did cry listening to songs before (omg just to recall that times make me feel super lame lol) but that was when I was young and foolish aaaaand shall we go back to the main point? :P
So today I decide to show a little bit of skin, a little bit of flesh. To remind the old friends the bossy me (but deep inside I know they want to be me haha), and to friends that never seems to have time for me (hear that Little Miss Kilkenny and String Shredder?), and to friends that I would really wish I could hang out in person with (thaaat's right Mr-I-dont-eat-meat!), here's the most recent picture of yours truly :))
Just to prove im not pulling the emo shit around here. Absolutely not! :D

Written on train
Singaporeans are all about rushing, pushing people around, running for the train. Even though everyone knows well enough that the interval in between trains are only 3 to 4 minutes. As a stranger here, I have no choice but to act as the pack. Sometimes I think i have been unconsciously sucked into this world of madness.
When my boyfriend came from California a couple of months ago, he couldnt be bothered about running for MRTs. I love his composure about it. And you know he's right when he said that the next train is going to be here in the next 3 minutes and he wouldnt want to sweat about it.
Earlier I was walking in the interchange and the couple in front of me was holding hand, taking their own sweet time obviously. That got me thinking, if you were here babe, I wouldn't give a damn about the world and I would take my time strolling as if we are in a park. Because time stays still when you have all the love in the word beside you.
P/S singaporeans, you guys gotta get a life.

Pacing around
It's just not easy to maintain a pace.
I can't blog often enough to keep the flow going. You have no idea how often I think to myself, that I should blog on the go (because whenever I am at home, I always have SOMETHING to do). But trust me, tapping on my iPhone while trying not to fall on the train, with a laptop bag in one hand and bags of food in another, well that's certainly not the easiest task on Earth,
I fell sick after I came back from Korea trip. I tried hard not to appear sick though, because i think after taking off from work for approximately 2 weeks, I don't want to miss work and look..lazy. Although most of you who are reading this know for the fact that I am lazy :P
Like how i still have my clothes in the luggage bag.
Or how I washed my sheets and it has been hung outside for two weeks and I keep forgetting about it.
Speaking of sheets, i think i should re-wash them now. Love you people. Bai!

Boyfriend says the darnest things
Me : Babe, when I wear this, people can see my fats!
Bf : Well babe, it has to go somewhere.
Me : I'm going to clean my room today. It's so dirty, I can't stand it.
Bf : You said that last week.
Me : But, but, but babe!
Bf : You lazy. Yeah, I've said it.
Me : I have nothing to eat at home!
Bf : It's not that you have nothing to eat, you have nothing you want to eat
Me : Babe did you look at the latest picture that I've posted?
Bf : Yeah, you look like the red Oompa Loompa
Me : Whaaaa?
I miss that guy. He flew to Lockport office to train up more people. Babe if you are reading this, please take off your socks at home!!
*Words might have been change to fit the context :P

Looking out for the freak show.
So hello people :)
I've been lazy. Very lazy. But I've been productive at home really :D
So it's the Fall season in America and I've been catching up with a lot of season premiers. So when I say I was being lazy, I am actually being really hardworking at becoming a couch potato :P
God I love television. Not as much as I love watching television with my boyfriend though :D
Yes I am still dating! Yes it's the same guy I was dating 4 months ago! Haha suck it in peeps. I mean it when I said I'm serious with this relationship. And I mean it :)
Okay back to television series. I have been looking all around Singapore for a Glee DVD set, but god it's awful hard to spot any. It's almost like Glee's sold out.
So I kept myself busy with Netflix and Hulu.com (having said that, I love proxies - best thing ever that I've learnt so far in IT). Been glued to Lost, Californication, Glee, CSI and Lie to Me. I've heard about Californication from Bel and I didn't know it was that interesting aka a wholesome of sex. FYI I've never seen so much sex in a drama series :D Two thumbs up to the plot.
I didn't tell this to my boyfriend, but I love the way we try to spend time together. Watching the same show. Liking the same show :) He told me to watch Lie To Me - an investigator who's as good as a lie detector and spot if you are lying just by analyzing facial expressions. Very interesting show indeed. And babe I LOVE IT :D
Here watch this short trailer :
Okay enough of the television commentary, how's everybody has been? I hope life is treating you good!
Adios muchachas.

Family time.
I think I'm almost enjoying being with my sisters all the time (of course when I mentioned 'sisters', I deliberately meant Cyn, Jo AND her husband. We are such a foursome). We have our weekly activities, that we would take some time out to spend with each other. Yesterday Jo cooked some Hakka dish and we sat down for dinner together. This morning we had our Sunday breakfasts at nearby neighbourhood. It's been awhile since badminton though.
I kinda need a massage session badly. My shoulder aches all the time. I think it's due to the long hours sitting in front of the pc. Sigh. Where is my boyfriend when you need him :(
I'm too lazy to contsruct sentences anymore. Today is Jo's birthday so HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOSIE LEE! :D

Peace out
I can't believe I'm feeling so jaded right now. Like I've overworked myself. My body is aching for massages. Full body massage. My boyfriend keeps telling me I work too much. Which I seriously don't think so. I don't know. I still like my work though.
Tonight I was dying for his attention. Mind you, we are 15 hours apart. The only time I get to catch him is when he just got to work, and at the same time I'm about to go to bed. Gosh I just want to take the next flight to California right now. But I won't. Cos I am still sane and sensible. My friends don't seems to think the same though. They think I'm playing with fire. But I'll show you babe. We both are in this relationship for real.
Ugh, I'm so cranky and weary. When I was showering 5 minutes ago, my mind was thinking of work stuff. And I snap that thought off. I know how to control myself. Or my mind, if that matters. My boss told me she thinks I'm really good in motivating myself. I don't need her to push me, but I do all the work. Which is half true. While the other half of me hoping for the real motivation from her. Up my salary dammit, I got paid peanuts while I work the hardest yo.
So tonight I've resorted to apple flavoured incense. Something about the smoke calms my mind. Kinda reminds me of temple though. But I like the smell of temple so it's pretty okay. I know I sound super drama today. Must be too much of reality tv.

Hello !
Hi loves, it's been awhile innit?
:) Haven't been updating much cos, well, there's not much to be updated about. I've moved to a brand new home! I have my own room now :P Next month I'm going to be on night shifts :( I prefer day shifts much better though.
So what have I been up to apart from work? Busy unpacking perhaps. Just got a 40" tv too ;) Sweet!
Yes, i'm dating again :) I actually found someone who is equally random, equally crazy, equally loving. I have no idea how we are going to work this babe, but we will make it work. Pinky promise!
I'm all crazy bout Glee out of the sudden. Glee makes me happy weeeeeee. Here's one of the song I really like from Glee's first pilot episode :
May 28, 2010
And I'm singing..
(ukulele!) Badabadababa badabadabababa...
Let's pack our bag and lie on the easy stream, feel the water on our backs where we can carry on dreaming.
When we can finally, be where we'd like to be, darling just you and me.
Just you and me :)
So darlin' what do you say, does that sound like a plan to you? We can build our own little world where no one else can come through. We can live huts made out of grass, we can greet father time when he walks pass.
Zee Avi writes beautiful lyrics. Loves! :D

Yodel Anecdotal
It's my third week at yodeling hard at Yahoo (trust me, in Yahoo, it's very common to say that :P ), and everyday when I sign off from work, I'm still smiling.
I'm smiling cause I find my job exciting. I'm working for a great company. The team smells like nothin but team-spirit. My manager said I've exceeded her expectation. And somehow, at the end of the day, I'm smiling cause I find all these absurd.
Sometimes, when I got stuck at some tiny meeny IT problem, I wonder how am I going to survive alone. But during one-on-one meeting with my manager today, she said she believe I will survive this and get to a greater height. Some words when you utter them, you might think they mean nothin, but this I tell you, totally motivates me to break the wall and grow.
Good news aside, I've got updates on the ABC that my manager and I (yes both of us) were drooling on. He is, apparently, married, fml. He is also, apparently, over 30 years old but he sounds like 22 high school guy (with a very sexy, deep voice heee). Well not-so-fml. But. He also has kids. Fml max. :(
However he is still the most helpful US tech that I will be working closely with. So yippee! :D Gotta pancing other deep, sexy voice techs though. Haha!

I'm loving this ABC!
The thing about being a Global Desk tech is that I get to call the States and talk to other Global Desk tech. Well mainly cos we're new and there's a thousand questions we need to be assisted with.
But fucking hell I've been talking (in a conference group meeting) to this ABC and he sounds sooooooooo sexay! I did a search on our corporate network (I wasn't stalking okay! It's my job to look people up on the network and look through their profile!) and he isn't that cute, BUT! His voice, omg! *earorgasm*
That's why I randomly tweeted today, "If you speak prefect English, you're probably hot". Shallow I know. But then again, who doesn't have a bad picture! :P
ABC aside, I'm really glad I took time to meet Alvan today. Our Seremban siew pao boy has officially crossed over to Singapore to earn more 'kaching'. So happy for him for landing a spot in Guy Savoy (which is going to be in the Marina Sands itself. Sweet! ). Alvan said Guy Savoy is like the Tyra Banks of the French cuisine industry! So I gotta give thumbs up him that. We got soooo many things to talk about since it has been four years since we last met! I'm truly grateful for having him here. Now there's one more fellow Msian that I can count on in SG. :D
I'm starting to miss mom and Elsa again. Made a call home last night and my mom cracks me up!
Me : (trying to be funny) Hello, is this Mimi speaking?
Mom : Yes! It's Mimi!! (shouting to Grandma at the back) My daughter is calling!
Me : How did you know it's me!!!!
Mom : Of course I recognized my own daughter, silly!
HAHAHA. Prolly you wouldn't get the joke but she was really hillarious when she's on the phone. Aite guys I gotta run. Tomorrow's i'm exempted from work woohoo! :P but I gotta get up early to do some sight seeing with the new white boy and his housemate. Selamat malam semua. :)

Dear Feelings,
It's been four months now. I've tried so hard to contain you inside for so long and now I've let you out. Once and for all.
Yup, I've come clean. I told him everything bout you. Bout how miserable you make me feel and it is affecting me somehow. And the best part is, I finally knew the last piece of the puzzle.
No, this isn't a drunk speech. This is not a confession. This serves as a reminder. I guess I will still be living my own prophecy. Guys that I like will never like me, and I will never like guys that like me. Think it's silly? Well it's been true as hell so far.
But oh well. At least I know not to react to this. Instead I respond, and I think I responded pretty well to it. I'm not feeling pain, not even sadness. Not that I'm happy either. A bit of mixed feelings maybe. I guess I learn how to look under the table for the silver lining. Well at least we don't have to play the guessing game. And I'm going to try to crush you. My self esteem dropped again, but I have been warned, didn't I?
I do hope I didnt put a strain to our friendship (I hate to use this word, 'friendship'. Sounds so high school right? But 'relationship' sounds so wrong innit?) by letting you out of the bag. He's still important to me, I can't put my finger to it why. But thank you for being here with me, the whole time. I love this feeling. Till I see you again, but for now you're going to be forgotten for a while. :)

Mind over matter.
I've been whining and complaining bout how bored and lifeless I am for the past few hours. What I failed to realize was how blessed I am to be able to spend some alone time and do some soul-searching. It's pretty amazing how loud your mind speaks to you when the night seems dead and quiet except for the occasional sound of cars speeding by. Now my mind is telling me to write my thoughts down, as thoughts are roots of ideas and I will not know how amazing those ideas would turned out until I pen them down.
I was doing a little research when I came across an article about how our mind can make us and break us. The power of the mind is needed to be focus and determined. However, more than often, our mind also generate a hundred excuses for us to fail. I know this seems like pretty deep stuff (and no I am not trying to be philosophical here) but it's not! To put it in a simpler way, to quote the example from the article, if I said I wanted to work out at 7am in the morning everyday, everyone would be like 'woah, no way you can wake up for it man'. There! Don't you see? You want to do something but your mind tries to break the idea, even though in this case, your friend's mind trying to suggest it to you. What we need to do is to set the idea in our mind, lock it down and throw the key away. Try to do this at home. Set a task for yourself. Something that you have been meaning to do but you just have no time for it. This time, give yourself no excuses. Whenever your mind tries to suggest you something else, brush it away. If you want to do it in the morning, wake up for it. Even though it's freaking 7 am, screw sleep! If you want it bad enough, don't let your mind win this time.
Now it's 3am in the morning but I'm going to be up at 9am to do 100 times of sit-ups. Cos I want to. It's all in the mind.

Bagai pungguk rindukan bulan
Malam ni I emo sebab rindu kat Malaysia, kat tanah air. Rindu kat kawan-kawan. Rindu kat mamak, especially nasi lemak panas kat 222. Rasa cam nak makan garlic cheese naan kat Devi's Corner jugak.
Sini bukannya ape kurang nya. Hari-hari routine jer, bangun, go online, makan ngan kakak. Do some work online, and sleep. Tapi cam mana pun tak same rasa nya. Takde tempat yang boleh masuk kategori 'chilling'. I need to find something to do soon. Before I evolve into a huge piece of meat, layered with fat.
The last time I had teh tarik was at Salim, ngan Loops. Oh rindu! Biarpun dekat Singapore ni, tapi memang dah tahu chance nak balik KL dah kurang. Hanya boleh menantikan kawan-kawan semua datang ke Singapore and from there we shall catch up again. Janji?

You Funky Thang
My sister is a household freak. She's like the perfect housewife that every guy should kidnap and make her wifey (but of course, now that she's married, too late! boohoo! :P). And she loves to buy household goodies. Now that she left the whole house to her sister (thaaaaaat's me! ala amanda bynes show. siape rajin tgk tv mesti faham haha!) for her honeymoon in Hong Kong, it's up to me to mengada with her kitchen appliances.
So one day I found a funky little thing in the kitchen cabinet. I don't know what is it called, but I know what is it for. Though I have to admit I have never seen such clever invention before and my sister actually bought such thang.
So! Here's a step to step guide on how to use 'That Funky Little Thang' :D
Object of the day, told you it's funky!
Subject of the day, Mr Vitamin C.
Here's how you're supposed to wear it/use it. Just, try not to wear it out to Barsonic okay?
The whole thing is made out of plastic, but the little jutted out edge at the bottom is pointy enough to penetrate through Mr Vitamin C's skin. Now start from the top...
...drag it all the way down. And repeat from the top again but this time creating a new cut.
And tadaaa! No need for squishy squashy mess and samurai knife technique to cut your oranges. Now you can have the whole orange without breaking your nails! Yippeee!
If you are lame like me, where everything seems to amuse me right now, you can even do some artwork with it! (Ini sign for radioactive hahaha!)
Now can someone tell me what do you really call that 'funky little thang' in real life? (I don't live in real life. I live in wonderland haha why am i so lame)
