Flash Fridays - Q2 & Q3

How time slips us by. It's the beginning of Q4 already! (also means it is time to do housekeeping on my desktop)

Back in the 20th century, residents of Fort Bragg, northern California threw their household garbagestraight over the cliffs onto what is now known as Glass Beach. The dumping finally stopped in 1962 and over the several decades, the pounding waves cleaned the beach and tumbled glass and pottery into small, glittering treasures onto the beach!

The citizens of Talkeetna, Alaska have a reason to rejoice, as they have elected a mayor
who does not raise their taxes and interfere with businesses. For more than 15 years,
Stubbs the cat has been holding the top office in the small town with population of 800.
The purr-fect mayor who would only drinks water laden with catnip from wine glass,
draws 30 to 40 tourist each day who hope to meet “the mayor”. No “kitten”.

Charlie Chaplin once lost a Charlie Chaplin lookalike contest that he secretly entered in San Francisco!

The Incredible Hulk’s skin colour was initially grey but during
the comic publication, there was a problem with the colour printing and they changed it to green.

Contrary to popular belief, chameleons do not change color to match their environment. Rather, they change color as a response to mood, temperature, health, communication and light. Which also explains why poker is not a popular game among chameleons.

Rabbits have nearly 360° panoramic vision, allowing them to detect predators from all directions. However, they have a small blind-spot in front of their nose, so the common practice of letting a rabbit sniff your hand as people often do with dogs can be confusing and threatening to a rabbit.
